Setting Line Elements on a Label

Setting Line Elements on a Label

1. The program interface is divided into three main sections: the visual designer on the right, the data editor in the upper-left corner, and the property panel for individual label elements in the lower-left corner.

2. As shown in the example below, when you click a line element in the label designer on the right, the corresponding data row in the upper-left data editor is automatically selected. At the same time, the property panel in the lower-left corner displays the coordinate parameters of the line's two endpoints. In the data editor, the only information shown for a line element is its assigned name.

3. As illustrated in the image below, the label designer on the right contains 12 elements, including images, text objects, barcodes, and lines. The data editor on the upper left contains 12 corresponding rows, each row directly linked to one element in the designer.

4. When you select a data row, a small button appears at the end of the cell. Clicking this button normally opens either the batch data editing window or the file selection dialog (for image elements). However, when the selected row represents a line element, the button is intentionally disabled because no data entry is required for lines. All you need to do is define the X and Y coordinates of the line's two endpoints using the property panel in the lower-left section of the window.

5. When a line element is selected, the lower-left property panel displays the X and Y coordinates of both endpoints as they appear on the label layout. If you select a text element or barcode element instead, the panel will show additional configuration parameters specific to those element types.

6. The four arrow buttons in the lower-right corner allow you to adjust the position of any selected label element. Each click moves the element in the corresponding direction, functioning exactly the same as manually editing the element's X and Y coordinates. You can also reposition elements directly by dragging them inside the visual designer. The checkbox between the arrow buttons controls the movement increment, allowing you to choose how far an element moves with each click. The [Lock Items] checkbox on the right prevents elements from being dragged, en

suring they remain fixed in place. We provide additional articles that explain positioning and layout adjustment in greater detail.
